Diana G. Ruiz Benavides

Economist, political scientist and finance specialist from the Universidad de los Andes, with postgraduate studies in public affairs – emphasis on environmental policy, from the University of Washington (Seattle-WA, USA).

More than 30 years of professional experience, including in the last fifteen consulting jobs, with emphasis on feasibility studies, due diligence and evaluation of investment projects, public or private, in the economic, financial, social and environmental impact components, for the environmental, agricultural, forestry, industry, hydroelectric generation, irrigation infrastructure and basic sanitation sectors. A large part of these projects have been financed by multilateral banking and international technical cooperation. 

Focus on project planning, design of strategies to ensure their viability, incentives to manage processes of change towards sustainability, competitiveness, adaptation or mitigation of climate change. Likewise, design and measurement of management, results and impact indicators, cost-benefit assessment, sectoral or regional prospective analysis and evaluation of public policies. Participant in monitoring and follow-up missions of internationally funded programs, performance evaluation and compliance with safeguards.
